Update

Keith is continuing to make progress. He has been cleared to sit unassisted and they have stood him up a couple of times this week. Today they worked on his fine motor skills. He has been moved up a group in therapy and is roaming the halls in his electric wheelchair.

Thankfully, the infection was not bad. Keith will be on iv antibiotics at Jeff for a couple days then back to being Mayor of the 5th Floor at Magee.

Keith Update

Keith has een admimtted to Jeff for minor surgery for an infection in his incision. He will be there 3-5 days. Prayers please! Let's hope this is just a small bump in the road.  

Keith's Benefit was a Great Success

Many thanks to everyone who helped to make Keith's benefit tonight a great success. We had everything from sports tickets to puppies (yes the most adorable puppies). It was a wonderful turnout and a wonderful tribute to Keith as he continues to recover from his accident. Thanks again to everyone who worked so hard to make this a success especially Jess Owen who spearheaded this effort. She deserves a big pat on the back and a day on Sunday where she doesn't have to do anything!!! Hopefully this time next year Keith can join us for a night of celebrating his recovery.

Happy Birthday Keith!!!

Keith turns 22 today. While to put it bluntly it truly sucks that he is celebrating it in the hospital, we are all so grateful that he is with us and working towards recovery. So if you want to leave Keith some birthday get well wishes and hopes for a wonderful year ahead, you can leave them here or go on his facebook or send him a card at Magee Rehabilitation Hospital, Room 565-2, 1513 Race Street, Philadelphia, PA 19102. Please keep him in your prayers. He is making progress towards sitting up without feeling like he's gonna pass out and wiggling his thumb and wrist. It all sounds so easy and simple for us but are truly major accomplishments for Keith. Keith appreciates all of the love, support and prayers he has received. Keep them coming. He has only just begun his recovery.

As you may be aware, Keith Dunnigan recently suffered a serious spinal cord injury that placed him in the hospital over two months ago. He spent 42 days in intensive care in Atlantic City and Jefferson and is now in Magee Rehab Rehab in PA.
